Abstract
Indian classical music, known for its emotional depth and complex melodies, is increasingly recognized for its therapeutic benefits. Genres like Bhajan, Thumri, Ghazal, and Sufi, paired with specific ragas such as Yaman (energizing) and Bhairavi (calming), offer unique effects like stress relief, emotional regulation, and introspection. A proposed lightweight deep learning model classifies genres and ragas by analysing key audio features such as rhythm, melody, pitch, and tonal patterns. The model captures the nuances of Indian music, ensuring precise therapeutic recommendations by accurately identifying genre-raga combinations for optimal psychological and emotional benefits.
