Abstract

Remote sensing and image processing technologies are revolutionizing environmental monitoring by providing comprehensive and real-time data on various ecological and atmospheric phenomena. This paper explores how satellite imagery, coupled with advanced image processing techniques, is utilized for environmental monitoring. It covers applications in land cover classification, climate change assessment, vegetation analysis, and natural disaster monitoring. By integrating remote sensing data with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), researchers and policymakers can gain valuable insights into environmental changes, enhance disaster response strategies, and promote sustainable environmental management.
