Abstract

Digital agriculture, facilitated by the integration of drones and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, has emerged as a transformative approach to modernize farming methods and improve agricultural productivity. This paper explores the role of drones and IoT devices in revolutionizing farming practices, enabling precision agriculture, and enhancing decision-making processes in crop management. We provide a comprehensive review of the latest advancements in digital agriculture, including the use of drones for aerial imaging, crop monitoring, and pest detection, as well as IoT sensors for soil monitoring, weather forecasting, and livestock tracking. Through case studies and empirical evaluations, we demonstrate the significant impact of digital agriculture on optimizing resource allocation, reducing environmental footprint, and increasing crop yields. Additionally, we discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with the adoption of digital agriculture techniques and propose future research directions to further leverage drones and IoT in transforming farming methods. This work contributes to the understanding of digital agriculture as a promising paradigm shift in the agricultural sector, paving the way for sustainable and efficient farming practices in the digital era.
