Abstract
The growing global demand for clean water and adequate sanitation has heightened the need for innovative solutions to address these pressing challenges. IoT (Internet of Things) technology offers a transformative approach, enabling real time monitoring, efficient resource management, and data driven decision making in water and sanitation systems. By integrating smart sensors, remote monitoring, and predictive analytics, IoT allows for early detection of contamination, reduction of water wastage, and improved maintenance of wastewater systems. This paper explores the multifaceted applications of IoT in advancing Sustainable Development Goal 6, focusing on its potential to revolutionize water conservation, distribution, and sanitation infrastructure. While the promise of IoT is vast, it also faces challenges such as high implementation costs, data privacy concerns, and the need for robust governance frameworks. Ultimately, IoT holds the potential to bridge critical gaps in water management, paving the way for more sustainable and equitable access to clean water and sanitation for all.
