Abstract
The adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) applications in smart energy systems marks a significant leap forward in enhancing both the reliability and sustainability of energy infrastructure. Integrating IoT technologies, such as smart sensors and real time data analytics, energy systems can achieve unprecedented levels of efficiency and resilience. These technologies enable continuous monitoring of energy consumption and grid performance, facilitating proactive management and quick response to potential issues. This capability not only optimizes energy distribution but also integrates renewable energy sources more effectively, thereby contributing to a more sustainable energy landscape. Challenges including data security breaches, system interoperability problems, and expensive deployment and maintenance expenses still exist despite these developments.
