Abstract
The requirement for a trained workforce will be high in fourth-generation industrialization. To meet this need, we must provide equitable and high-quality sustainable education. The needs of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) could not be met by traditional methods of organizing and delivering education. The Internet of Things (IoT) is one disruptive technology that can completely change how education is provided. Thus, the purpose of this research project is to provide a summary of what IoT applications may do in learning environments. Our study piece delves into current studies on IoT applications in education. It offers a thorough understanding of the subject from three distinct angles: those of instructors, students, and school administration. The current study clarifies how IoT has been used to help teachers, students, and school administrators—as shown in recent literature. The article also discusses IoT application bottlenecks and describes the primary barriers to IoT applications in educational contexts, which include security, privacy, scalability, dependability, and dehumanization.
