Abstract

Modern communication systems are the backbone of global connectivity, serving as the foundation for various applications across industries. However, the increasing demand for performance and security in these systems presents significant challenges. This chapter surveys recent advancements in enhancing the performance and security of communication systems, focusing on techniques such as advanced modulation schemes, resource allocation strategies, and encryption methodologies. Additionally, the integration of emerging technologies like 5G, blockchain, and artificial intelligence (AI) is discussed. Future research directions are proposed to address persistent challenges in scalability, latency, and threat mitigation.
