Abstract
Dynamic retinoscopy is a critical tool in the clinical assessment of the accommodative function and binocular vision anomalies. Unlike static retinoscopy, which measures refractive errors under relaxed accommodation, dynamic retinoscopy evaluates the eye’s response to accommodative stimuli in real- time. This narrative review provides an in-depth examination of dynamic retinoscopy, discussing its principles, techniques, clinical applications, and future directions. Emphasis is placed on understanding its role in diagnosing accommodative dysfunctions and enhancing patient care in various clinical settings.
