Abstract

This paper explores the concept of change management in India, focusing on the unique challenges, approaches, and best practices that organizations in the country face and adopt. India’s socio-economic and cultural diversity, rapidly growing economy, and emerging technological landscape create a complex environment for managing organizational change. Drawing on multiple theories of change management and analyzing their application within the Indian context, the paper highlights key drivers for change in India and strategies for effective implementation. Case studies from diverse sectors in India—manufacturing, information technology, and public enterprises—are used to illustrate how organizations handle change.
